It’s not really an optional expansion for the game so much as the second half of the game’s rules. If you like Kill Team, or want to play it seriously or in tournaments, you need Elites. Elites overhauls the game in some important ways, expanding kill team and adding some new teams while making others viable. It also introduces subfactions for each Kill Team, so if you want to play a special faction like Space Wolves, the Mars Forge World, Craftworld Iyanden, or the Novokh dynasty with your team, this has the rules to do it.

Kill Team Elites introduces a host of new, elite units to the game, plus some additional Commanders (more on those in a bit).
